Temper Temper!

In March Amanda participated in the Kiwanis Festival. One of her numbers was a group number that her teacher, Rachel Hop arranged and choreographed. It ended up winning first place in their category. Amanda said it was her favorite Kiwanis number that she participated in. It was very exciting for everyone involved.

Raunchy

My Kiwanis numbers this year were titled Bride's Lament (I'm in costume for that number below) and Raunchy. It's not as bad as it sounds, although I did end up laying down singing on a table and crawling across the floor crying. These pieces required quite a bit of acting, more than I've done in any other Kiwanis number. Sometimes I ask myself, "Am I too old for this?" Maybe I'm just a desperate housewife. I'd like to think the real reason I participate in the Kiwanis festival is to try something new, get out of my shell, and most importantly, improve my singing and performance abilities. Will I do it again? Who knows. Probably.
